SEE THE NEW EARL SLICK SIGNATURE GUITAR AT MUSIKMESSE APRIL 6-9
Framus Guitars new Earl Slick Signature Model will be shown at Germany’s Musikmesse, the largest music trade show in the world. The show takes place April 6 through 9 in Frankfurt’s Fair and Exhibition Center (Hall 4.1 Booth E12). The re-issued 5/131 Hollywood Vintage guitars will also be on display.
Earl Slick has been an in demand guitarist for the better part of 30 years having played on the most pivotal of albums by none other than David Bowie, John Lennon and Ian Hunter. It only seems fitting that he’s chosen to endorse a Framus signature model to match the classic tones, which have also graced the work of Robert Smith and Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock. Slick recently joined proto-punk heroes, The New York Dolls.
Fashioned from the classic Framus rock and roll look that befits Earl Slick’s stature, this model is available in two rich finishes, Red Satin Solid and Black Statin Solid. The combination of resonant Swamp Ash with choice of DiMarzio PAFs or P90s matched with TonePros Tune-o-matic or Bigsby bridge gives Slick the sound that defined the most important eras of his musical career. The lever-style pickup selector makes this guitar even more unique and versatile. And Plek® technology assures a perfect factory fret set up every time.
This guitar is perfect for an artist who has participated in some of the most classic recordings in music history. It is a true privilege to have Earl Slick’s incredible history intertwine with our own. These new Framus guitars are the result of a dream collaboration.
